Villa Marina Green Tourism

    • We use local produce wherever possible as we feel that it not only supports the local economy and reduces “food miles” but, as the produce is often of a higher quality, we believe it also tastes so much better!
    • In addition, we also use fair Trade and Organic Products.
    • We recycle all glass, cardboard, cans, newspapers, magazines and plastic bottles on your behalf.
    • Where possible, we use low energy, long life light-bulbs both internally and externally. On first switching on any light at Villa Marina, the bulb will gently warm up to it’s full brightness.
    • We do not leave any electrical appliances on stand-by and ask our guests to do the same with the appliances in their bedrooms.
    • As part of our Green Policy we try to protect the environment through the conservation of water and energy and through the reduced use of detergent. We, therefore, operate both a towel and bedding policy. Your laundry is also washed in environmentally products in energy efficient machines.
    • We encourage guests to leave their cars and walk! We provide a wealth of information on public transport, local walks and cycle routes. We are committed to catering for the needs of walkers and cyclists and have been approved by Visit Britain under the ‘Walkers Welcome’ and ‘Cyclists Welcome’ schemes.
